Endoscopy
When you bring your pet in for an endoscopy, our veterinarians use a device that is specially designed to view the inside of your pet’s digestive, urinary, and respiratory system. During this process, a fibre-optic light and a micro camera encased in a thin, flexible tube will travel down your animal’s cavities to transmit a clear, high-definition, colour image onto a monitor.
The tube contains a tiny canal that is just big enough to insert a pair of very small tweezers. This tool makes it possible to namely remove foreign objects your pet may have swallowed by mistake or even carry out a biopsy of your pet’s internal organs in order to make a diagnostic. Since this is a delicate operation, your pet will be systematically put under general anesthesia.
